Camelina is an oilseed crop belonging to family Brassicaceae with agronomic low-input features. Camelina species are best adapted to cool temperate semi-arid climates and can be grown on marginal areas which don’t compete with the production of other food suitable crops, it grows well in flat or hill and sandy lands and does not require irrigation. Camelina is strong and resistant to diseases and pests; it can be grown without pesticides.
